Sorts at Backbone

I got a message from Sorts that he will come to Tartu and wants me to take some pictures.
When I got to the studio, he had already been inking Lillo for some two or three hours.
Took some photos, saw some pain and left with a promise to return later in the evening.
Went to the city, did a bit of shopping, then walked back home, ate, worked, cleaned my room, took a shower, got ready again and went back around 8.
Lillo was under the needles all this time.
Although a bit dizzy, drunk-ish and in loads of pain, he looked OK.

I really like the vibe at Backbone, the way it changes during the day.
At noon it's full of people and machine-noise,
later in the evening it becomes a private atelier for the artists working there.

CROW

When i was a child, my grandfather found a crow with a broken wing.
We fed him, put his wing on a cast and took care of him until he was completely healed.
Jaak stayed with us for some months. Eventually he flied away but i'll always remember
how smart that bird was.
Ever since, a crow has been my favorite bird.
Besides being clever, they're beautiful in a dark shady way i love the most.

Considering that -and the fact that i've always been a bit of a wing-freak- it's no wonder i chose
to start "ruining" my right arm with such piece.

"Lasin endale linnu teha, nüüd on nahk raisus."

Virgin-No-More

I will always remember the day when you came and told what your first tattoo was going to be. You asked me to paint my lips and press them against the paper. Again and again.

This is the craziest, sweetest and greatest thing anyone has ever done for me. The idea of it is so fucking hot it makes me want to rip off your clothes and fuck you against the wall.
It is so full of love and everything that we have given to each other.
And it makes me feel like I’m the most special girl in the universe.
Love you, babe!

Meeting Sorts

Some time ago I visited a brilliant tattoo-artist Priit Salusoo to discuss some collaboration.
Had a great time talking about painting, photography and art in general and though I wasn't supposed to take any pictures, my camera just happened to be in the bag.

Hope he doesn't mind.
