TRANSLATIONS OF THE INNER UNIVERSE

I was going to do an outdoor session to mark the end of summer and test my new flash-set.
Of course, when I woke up on the morning of the shoot, it was pouring rain. My models were already in Tartu with all the stuff I asked them to bring so I had to come up with a new idea to match the old one. From there on, it was a non-stop coffee-drinking crazy-sketching grab-everything-that-might-work frenzy. When I finally arrived at the studio, I was looking more like a gypsy-camp in one person than a photographer. As I started building the scene, ideas started to create themselves so when I finally got to the shooting-part, everything clicked.

I'm not sure I have to talk much about the ideas behind the shoot.
Just tried to translate some of the experiences and mind-trips I was lucky enough
to receive during this crazy summer.
In the language of fashion, it's sure distorted and hidden, but for me, it's a milestone.

Thank you, E.M.A. Marilind Reemann, Karl Jakob Bartels & Siim Kingu!

Dancer in the studio

An awesome hip-hop dancer and soon-to-be-model in E.M.A Karl-Jakob Bartels
visited my studio for his very first photo session.
Basically, what worked the best, was shooting him in constant movement so no locked poses this time.
