Fake randomness. Or push someone to be random during a session. Make them forget the oh-so-usual
"what should i do? is it ok, if a stand like this? does my face look normal?"
It was the beginning of the summer and I was shooting Laika Virgin. Indrek told me to go nuts, do everything "wrong", "go random".
I thought, "cool, gonna be an easy task!"
Yeaaah....
Before we even got started, one of the band members sent a message that he couldn't come.
And just as I was thinking of a new date for the shoot, they decided Laika Virgin was going to be a 3-member-group.
It was my third time to shoot their promo material.
Back in 2012, there had been 5 of them and it was my first time ever in a professional photo studio so hands shaking and loads of faking. Then in 2013, I met up with 4 of them in some basement, and now - 3:3. It's an evil thing to say, but I was inspired in a second. Composition with 3 isn't something you can do too often when shooting bands.
The first photo you can see here is actually the last one we took and it ended up being on the cover of their new album "MINUS PLUS MINUS EQUALS PLUS" which you can check out here on their website.
Rest of it just happened. Kind of. I wouldn't know. Didn't pay any attention. Or. Something like that. I guess. ...
