HND design for AKUSTILINE

Started working with the guys back in 2012 shooting them in Scotland Yard. I already knew their next album was going to be an acoustic one, so I took the pictures with that in mind.
(You can check 'em out HERE and HERE
I also designed their singles "Kui sa vaid saad" and made some changes in band's website.

Preparations for the design started in the summer, when I came to an idea to put a messed up acoustic guitar on the cover. With the help of social media, I found an old fucked-up 6-stringer and slowly started to destroy it. Breaking the guitar's neck was a lot harder than I had imagined.
A painful thing to do, also, as I'm treating my own guitar with such a respect.

After messing up the guitar pretty bad, I let it to rot in the rain for the summer.
From time to time, I scratched it with all kinds of tools and decided to grow some flowers out it it.
So this is how we got the cover.
Everything came together during a month of insane work in November.
By then, I had decided I was only going to use the elements I had designed, photographed or
made myself. It was a fun project involving lots of different techniques.
(For example experimenting with ink and coffee, which you can see HERE
and some tablet-raping to create hand written fonts and add details.)
In the end, only things in the design NOT made by me, was a band logo
and 2 or 3 fonts I had to use to make some of the text readable.
What I did:
A 6-panel digipak, 20-page booklet and a CD,
also loads of other stuff like drum design, posters, stickers etc.
